Author Interview with Hannah E. Griggs
In today's newsletter you get to meet an author, read a review of her book, and learn more about the benefits of reading.
Good morning! According to last year’s response to my newsletters, the ones about stress were opened the most. Articles about stress were viewed the most on my website/blog. In my head I have been drafting an article about what to do when stress levels are unusually high. (Stay tuned for that later this month or early next month.)
Here is a hint: reading helps to reduce stress levels. One year when I was recovering from high amounts of stress, I read over 100 books after not reading much at all. However, not just any kind of book will help you to reduce your stress. You want books that are comforting and cozy to read. Hannah E. Griggs writes these kinds of books. I have read all her books that are available in paperback, and they are certainly worth reading—and re-reading.
Today I get to introduce to you Hannah E. Griggs. It was a privilege to meet her while working on a project last year. She kindly agreed to an interview in which you will learn more about her and her newest book, which will be released March 6, 2026.
It was a blessing to read Remember My Royalty by Hannah E. Griggs. First, the author did an amazing job making the inside of the book appear as though it was an older book. The gorgeous decorations reminded me of some of the old books I’ve read. Second, each chapter begins with a stanza of a poem that goes with the chapter. This part alone must have taken hours and hours of work and certainly added another fascinating aspect to the book.
I loved that the story was about three siblings who immigrated from Scotland to Texas. As an immigrant myself, I thought the author did an outstanding job in bringing out the hopes and fears of every immigrant throughout the story.
Also, I loved the hymns, songs, and Bible verses throughout the book.
Hannah E. Griggs is now forming a launch team to help her spread the word about her newest book that begins in Scotland in the early 1830s and continues in Texas. To help more people learn about this book, you can join her launch team. Feel free to share this opportunity and newsletter with as many reading friends as you like!
We live in a very stressful time. Our lives are fast-paced, and we are constantly bombarded with information via news and social media. Take time to put away your screens, read, and de-stress. Yes, a vacation can help you de-stress, and you can take mini vacations by reading!
